To carry on our business we have to go about things differently.
We’ve put in to place extensive safety measures to keep you and our team as safe as we possibly can. This has been quite a challenge as guidelines have been unclear and late to be given by the government, however we have been in regular contact with the top leaders of our industry throughout the lock down, taking advice and direction from guidelines from other countries who have already re-opened their doors to the public. We have been in regular contact throughout the lockdown with The Good Salon Guide, FSB,, Wella professional not only UK but Global, Shortcuts UK. and many respected leaders in our industry so rest assured your in safe hands!

Before you attend your visit to the salon!
In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to give you an update on the changes we are making in the salon to ensure your safety is our main priority.
If you or a member of your family are unwell, have a temperature, recent cough, loss of taste or smell or have recently returned from overseas travel or have come into contact with someone with COVID-19, please reschedule, even if you do not have any symptoms.
We are closely monitoring the government and industry advice, and have made some changes in how we operate under their best guidance.
We are taking extra care to ensure we are sanitising and cleaning between each client in the chairs
We have introduced sanitation-stations with hand sanitiser – please use these, as much and as often as you can.
We are still committed to your comfort while you are at The Cutting Rooms however you will notice we are no longer serving our refreshments/teas/coffees/drinks. You may bring your own with you if you wish to, we can serve you filtered child water in a plastic cup. This is for the safety of our staff to reduce germ transfer, and you, and we promise we are doing our best to recycle and dispose of these ethically.
You may also notice that we have removed magazines, this is to reduce germ transfer. Please feel free to bring in your own reading materials.
We ask that you refrain from using cash where possible.
We have made changes to space out our salon stations/chairs and installed screening in an effort to self-distance as much as possible.
Our team are following government recommendations, and will all be isolating if they show flu-like symptoms, so we ask for your patience and understanding if we need to reschedule your appointment.

We can now only have 3-4 members of our team working at any 1 time. and only 4 clients,, 2 in the front salon and 2 in the back salon.

Clients and staff must wear a mask during the service, these are provided.
Temperature check on arrival.
Hand and phone or device sanitisation station for you to use upon arrival, before you come through to the salon and have your service
No hot drinks or magazines will be served during your service, but you can bring your own, we can give you filtered chilled water in a disposable plastic cup.
Each station will be deep cleaned with antibacterial cleaner before and after each client.
Staff will use fresh single use towels, gowns, aprons and gloves for every client.
Regular hand washing will be promoted for every client and staff member.
Hand sanitiser freely available to ever client on every station and staff member around the salon.
Visors may also have to be worn by stylists during some or part or all of your service.

We now only pre book appointments with a deposit and require a 48 hour notice to change or cancel.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
CANCELLING OR MOVING YOUR APPOINTMENT
To move or cancel your appointment we require a minimum of 48 hours notice.
We accept cancellations or alterations outside of 48 hours without any penalty, and any deposit paid will be held on your account for you to spend as you like within the salon.
If you cancel or postpone your appointment without giving us 48 hours, any deposit will be forfeited. The reason for this is that the salon as held this appointment for you and it is difficult to resell that appointment slot within such short notice. We may also ask that you pay upfront for your future appointments. You are free to move your appointment forward at any time if we have the availability.
PRIOR TO BOOKING YOUR COLOUR
Prior to making your colour appointment it is important that you notify us if you have not been skin tested or had a colour within the last six months. if not you must visit the salon at least 48 hours prior to your appointment so we can do a skin test for you. It is also essential prior to making any colour appointment that you notify us if any reaction from any previous colour, whether this was applied within the salon or at home or if you have any reactions to, henna tattoo’s, or any permanent or semipermanent make up. This is your responsibility to notify us and we can only do our best to protect you with this honest information.
If you are unable to attend the salon for a skin test prior to your colour we can organise a patch test to be posted out to you but we ask you give us five working days notice prior to your appointment and we will be happy to post out a skin test for you. This service may incur a small charge.
We hold the right to amend or change our pricing structure without notification. We ask all clients who require an accurate quote to check with their operator prior to their service commencing.
IF YOU ARE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR HAIR SERVICE
When you have completed you hair service at The Cutting Rooms hair salon we expect all our clients to be happy with the outcome of their new hair style and be able to wear and manage their new style with confidence. If you feel that the service agreed with your stylist has not been fully achieved we need to know at your earliest convenience so we can help to resolve your concerns where possible straightaway.
In these cases it is important you return within 7 days of your original appointment and we will be more than happy to re-look at your hair and carry out the necessary service complimentary. After this point we offer a tiered discount
8-14 days you will receive a 50% reduction
15-21 days a 25% reduction
Please be aware that certain services are not covered by our re-do policy. This includes any service such as hair-up trails, blow dry services or in certain instances services which may have been indicated to you within your consultation by your stylist of certain limitations. If this is the case it is then your decision if you wish to go ahead with the service.
Our re-do policy will not cover any hair services you or any 3rd party have tried to rectify or have tampered with. Unpaid or complimentary hair services do not qualify for our our re-do policy.
